The Mandate

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

~Matthew 28:19-20

A Wilderness Discipleship Group for Men

Adventure Awaits!

Join us as we dive into the art of bushcraft, mastering skills like fire-building, shelter-making, primitive traps, handlines, and backpacking skills. More importantly, we will build relationships, face challenges together, and encourage one another while learning about the God who created it all.

"And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near." ~Hebrews 10:24-25

Don’t miss this opportunity to gain (or fine tune) practical skills, while deepening your walk with the Lord, and forge meaningful connections with other men. Let’s sharpen each other, as iron sharpens iron, and prepare for the challenges of both the wilderness and the daily journey of faith.

As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.

—Proverbs 27:17

Cordage

Think you’ve got what it takes to be the ultimate weapon-wielding legend? Come prove it at our weapons competition! We’ve got rifles, pistols, knife throwing, axe throwing, archery, throwing sticks, and even the mighty shepherd’s sling—because who doesn’t want to feel like David taking down Goliath? If you miss the target, don’t worry, we’ll just assume the wind was against you. So, are you a man, or just good at making excuses? Let’s find out!

Gentlemen, welcome to today’s groundbreaking workshop: How to Turn Random Forest Junk into Rope Like a Man Who’s Missed Several Meals. That’s right—while the rest of the world relies on Amazon and paracord, we’ll be out here confidently twisting bark, grass, and whatever suspicious plant we just grabbed into something that may or may not hold your buddy’s weight. You’ll learn ancient survival skills passed down for thousands of years, primarily so you can say, “I don’t need Home Depot,” while secretly hoping no one asks you to actually use the cordage you just made. By the end, you’ll have blistered hands, a new respect for Boy Scouts, and the unshakable confidence that if society collapses, you won’t panic—you’ll just start braiding weeds aggressively.

  • Friction Fires

    Date TBD

Men, today we’re learning how to make fire the hardest way possible—by rubbing sticks together until either a flame appears or your pride disappears, whichever comes first. This is the ancient art of friction fire, perfected by people who didn’t have lighters, matches, or a guy named Dave with a propane torch. You’ll master the hand drill (also known as “how to blister your palms in under five minutes”) and the bow drill, which looks simple until it absolutely isn’t. By the end, you’ll smell like smoke, question all your life choices, and gain the rare ability to say, “Yes, I can make fire from sticks,” even if it only worked once and no one was watching.

  • 24 Hour Survival Challenge

Think you're tough? Prove it. Join us for 24 hours in the woods with no food, no shelter, and no clue what you're doing. This isn't your average weekend getaway—unless your idea of luxury is eating bugs and arguing over who can start a fire with a rock. It's a chance to bond with other guys while questioning every life choice that led you here. Who needs Netflix when you've got mosquitoes for entertainment? By the end, you’ll either find a new appreciation for modern plumbing or discover that “hangry” is your true personality. Pack light, leave your dignity at home, and get ready for the ultimate manly misadventure!

Meet the Team

  • Kerry Meehan

I grew up in Ecuador, where I enjoyed climbing the high mountains and, to a lesser degree, tromping through the jungle and the cloud forests. I learned many tricks for enjoying the backcountry and making it back home in one piece. I began mountain climbing when I was seven years old and developed a love for living, playing and suffering in the outdoors. In college, I majored in Outdoor Leadership. I've been a mountain and rock climbing guide and a white water rafting guide. One major result of growing up this way has been that I've seen first hand the value of encouraging and discipling one another through outdoor adventure. Few things bond people together like confronting the elements in the wilderness together. Building and practicing the skills to be able to take your family and friends on adventures in the wilderness is a worthwhile way to spend your time

As a kid, I loved exploring the woods, catching animals, and marveling at nature. As I grew older, my focus shifted to sports, particularly gymnastics and diving. After graduating high school, I pursued a career in the circus and had the privilege of performing in Le Rêve in Las Vegas for several years. Fortunately God had other plans and a career-ending injury brought that chapter of my life to a close, and made me go back to the drawing board of what I wanted to do. During this time I rediscovered my lifelong passion for nature and wildlife. I decided to turn that passion into a career and now have the incredible privilege of traveling and teaching others about God’s awe-inspiring creation.

For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.

—Romans 1:20
