Our Beliefs

God

There is one God, self-existent and eternal, infinitely perfect, the Creator, Sustainer, and Ruler of all things. For his own glory and by his own decree, the triune God created heaven and earth, time, and all things, visible and invisible, living and nonliving, material and nonmaterial.

Jesus Christ

The Lord Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man, deity incarnate, born of a virgin, and neither sinned nor could have sinned. By his death as a substitute for sinners He infinitely satisfied divine justice and accomplished salvation for all who trust in Him alone. He rose bodily from the dead and ascended to His Father’s right hand where He now intercedes as our Great High Priest. He will come again to rapture His church and receive His kingdom.

Scripture

The 66 books of the Bible are the unique, written Word of God. The Bible is divinely inspired, inerrant, infallible, supremely authoritative, and sufficient in everything it teaches. Its assertions are factually true in all the original autographs. Its authority is not limited to spiritual, religious, or redemptive themes but includes its assertions in such fields as history and science.

Salvation

God, out of love for the human race, sent the Lord Jesus Christ into the world to save sinners. Jesus Christ, God incarnate, paid the full penalty for human sin when He died on the cross. Any person who, in simple faith, trusts in the risen Christ as his only hope of heaven, refusing to trust in anything else, receives the gift of eternal life which once granted can never be lost. Every child of God possesses eternal life and, being regenerated, justified, and sealed by the Holy Spirit, is safe and secure for all eternity. However, a Christian can, through sin, lose his fellowship, joy, power, testimony, and reward and incur the Father’s discipline. Relationship is eternal, being established by the new birth; fellowship, however, is dependent upon obedience to the Word of God.

Sin

The special creation of Adam (the first man) and Eve (the first woman) and their subsequent fall into sin is the basis for the necessity of salvation for mankind. Human death (both physical and spiritual) as well as all animal death, disease, bloodshed, suffering, extinction, thorns and thistles, and all other natural evils (e.g., earthquakes, hurricanes, tsunamis, etc.) entered this world subsequent to, and as a direct consequence of, man’s sin. All of mankind are sinners, inherently from Adam and individually (by choice), and are therefore subject to God’s wrath and condemnation

Origins & History

The account of origins presented in Genesis 1–11 is a simple but factual presentation of actual events, and therefore, provides a reliable framework for scientific research into the question of the origin and history of life, mankind, the earth, and the universe. The various original life forms (kinds), including mankind, were made by direct, supernatural, creative acts of God (i.e., not by natural, physical processes over millions of years).

We believe that science confirms the Bible.

Intelligent Design

In nature we see how perfectly animals are designed to do what they do. This does not happen by random chance, it happens by design. When we look at the fossil record there is no evidence of evolution and when we look at how natural selection and mutations actually work there is no possible way for it to be the mechanism of evolution. Evolution can’t explain all of this, but the bible can. Everything we see in nature is consistent with a biblical creation.

The Fossil Record

Do Fossils really show that creatures evolved from simple to complex? No, the fossil record shows two clear features, sudden appearance and stasis. When a new creature shows up in the fossil record it appears suddenly and fully formed with no gradual forms that lead up to it (Sudden Appearance). Then its basic form stays the same, it doesn’t evolve (Stasis). Instead of gradual evolution, the fossil record shows forms that suddenly appear and stay the same. That is what we would expect to find. God’s fully formed creation we read about in the book of genesis.

Natural Selection & Mutation

Natural selection and mutations are considered the driving force of evolution, but natural selection and mutations cannot produce the necessary information to change one kind of organism into another. Science demonstrates that organisms lose genetic information over time, they don’t gain it. Their is no known process that lets organisms add information to their genetic code.

Genesis 1:21

So God created the great creatures of the sea and every living thing with which the water teems and that moves about in it, according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.

Job 12:7-10

“Ask the animals, and they will teach you,
or the birds in the sky, and they will tell you;
or speak to the earth, and it will teach you,
or let the fish in the sea inform you.
Which of all these does not know
that the hand of the Lord has done this?
In his hand is the life of every creature
and the breath of all mankind.”

Romans 1:20

For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.

We believe that science confirms the Bible.

Intelligent Design

In nature, we observe the remarkable design of animals, perfectly suited for their roles and environments. Such precision and purpose are not the result of random chance but of intentional design. When we examine the fossil record, we find no definitive evidence supporting evolution. Moreover, the mechanisms often proposed—natural selection and mutations—lack the capability to drive the complex changes required for evolutionary processes. Evolution falls short of explaining the incredible intricacies of life, but the Bible provides a clear and consistent explanation. Everything we observe in nature aligns seamlessly with the account of biblical creation.

The Fossil Record

Charles Darwin said “First, why, if species have descended from other species by fine gradations, do we not everywhere see innumerable transitional forms? Why is not all nature in confusion, instead of the species being, as we see them, well defined.” The reason we do not find transitional forms and we see the species as being well defined is because the God of the Bible designed all of the animals and He defined all of the animals.
